Institute of History of Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities and Siedlce branch of the Polish Historical Society are honoured to invite you to take part in the international scientific conference called ‘Human communities. History – phenomena – problems’.

Siedlce, 23rd-24th November 2023

(registration open until 30th September 2023)

Lately, social sciences and humanities have intensly searched for points of contact between general and regional history, between the broad context of historical events and the presentation of scientifically valid case studies in the long run. Researchers, representing various disciplines, are interested in diverse social networks (human web), their multitude, interactions and interpersonal relationships in the public, institutional and private sphere. Individual dimensions of political and social life are beginning to accompany the recognition of collective agreements.

In order to meet the needs related to the in-depth analyses of both the early traces of globalization and the description of various communities in particular epochs, we would like to invite scientists from vast paradigmatic and professional circles to discuss human communities from the past. The papers may present issues in general terms, as well as the analysis of individual cases, and should also describe the given problem from historical, sociological, anthropological or media studies perspective.

The outcome of the symposium will be a paper published by the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities. Participation is free of charge. Sessions will be conducted in Polish and English.

Applications containing the following: academic title/degree, name and surname, affiliation, correspondence address, subject of the paper, abstract (up to 1300 characters with spaces) should be sent by 30th September 2023 to the following email address: Ten adres pocztowy jest chroniony przed spamowaniem.
